Life, right now

Things can change so fast...you don't even see them coming sometimes!

Over the Christmas holiday I went to Upstate New York and Boston with my wonderful family! What a blessing they are to me! I had an absolutely fantastic time! We drove up there together in my Mom's minivan! 6 people + days of driving = Great memories! We were able to see almost all of our extended family, another huge blessing! I would go on the trip again in a heartbeat!

Our church closed it's doors on January 3rd. Due to lack of money and, I believe, in some cases lack of passion. But above that I believe God is in control and this was a part of his plan. It is so easy to look at the situation from a negative prospective but I am choosing to see it as an opportunity for healing and growth. I am excited to see what God is going to do!

My friend, Amanda, and I joined a gym! Craziness! That is definently something I thought I would never do! Amanda and I had been running on the outdoor high school track 2 - 3 times a week. But it is far to cold to run outside in the winter! I am enjoying the gym a lot more than I thought I would.

Tabitha (a.k.a. Bestie), my roommate, had also been experiencing some changes ;) She has a new boyfriend! Of course this comes with lots of changes for both of us! One being, I have to share her! But I approve....so far! ;)

Kind of random, but I thought an update would be nice! All in all...things are good! God has truly blessed me!

The Daniel Fast...

This is day one of the 21-day Daniel Fast we are doing through our church. The Daniel Fast basically means cutting out all animal products such as meat and dairy as well as all sugar, caffeine, and yeast. I know what you are thinking, but I am rather excited about it! I spent a few hours yesterday preparing stews and soups that I can have on the fast. It will be so much easier to concentrate on the real meaning of the fast if I have some things made ahead of time!

That brings me to the real meaning of the fast...our church (CrossRoads Community Church of the Nazarene) is in great need of direction, God's direction! We are spending this 21 days praying and seeking God's wisdom, insight, and direction for the church as a whole.
